STIHL TS 420

POWERFUL CUT-OFF MACHINE WITH 14" CUTTING WHEEL

Thanks to its compact dimensions, road construction and landscaping professionals can use the STIHL TS 420 gas-driven cut-off machine to carry out particularly tough cutting tasks very reliably. Its powerful 350 mm cutting wheelallows for cutting depths of up to 125 mm in concrete, stone, asphalt, mild steel or through iron pipes. The STIHL anti-vibration system in the STIHL TS 420 ensures that you can guide the motorised cut-off machine precisely even during longer periods of use, protecting your muscles and joints. The ergonomic handle design also helps with this. To ensure you can start the economical STIHL 2-MIX engine with ease, the power tool also features a decompression valve that reduces the effort required to pull the starter cord.

The water connection continuously supplies water to the cutting wheel of the STIHL TS 420 motorised cut-off machine. Water binds the dust and cools the cutting wheel, while the long-life air filter system and the compensator extend the cleaning interval and ensure you can work for longer periods without interruption. The separation of clean air and mixture in the engine boosts the performance while also reducing consumption. This video shows the TS 420 gas cut-off machine in action in construction and civil engineering settings.

STIHL TS 420STIHL ANTI-VIBRATION SYSTEM

FOR MORE PLEASANT WORK. Vibrations can occur when you put your power tools through their paces, and these are particularly noticeable in the grip area. The buffer and spring elements of the STIHL anti-vibration system reduce the transmission of engine vibrations to the handle area and therefore to your body. The result is that your power tool is more comfortable to hold and your work is much less tiring.

STIHL TS 420STIHL 2-MIX ENGINE

HIGHLY POWER-EFFICIENT. With the STIHL 2-MIX engine, you can reduce exhaust emissions and fuel consumption, and therefore operating costs. This 2-stroke engine is low-maintenance and uses fuel efficiently even at high power levels. Use a mixture of petrol and engine oil as fuel. The STIHL 2-MIX engine complies with the strict EU Stage V emissions directive.

STIHL TS 420LONG-LIFE AIR FILTER SYSTEM FOR CUT-OFF MACHINES

ENSURES A LONG FILTER SERVICE LIFE. The long-life air filter system for cut-off machines does not collect coarse dust particles, but uses cyclone air routing to separate them and then discharges them into the ambient air. With just this first step the system removes around 80% of dust particles in the intake air. This enables an extremely long filter service life, and makes the tool easy to maintain.

STIHL TS 420Semi automatic V-belt tensioning

EXTENDS THE BELT’S SERVICE LIFE. Semi-automatic STIHL belt tensioning makes it easier for you to re-tension the drive belt. All you need is to adjust the adjustment screw with your spark plug wrench. Consistent tension extends the service life of the belt and bearing. For more detailed information on re-tensioning, please refer to the operating instructions of your power tool..

STIHL TS 420COMPENSATOR

REDUCED MAINTENANCE. The compensator is a control system in the carburettor, which uses pressure compensation to ensure that engine performance, exhaust gas quality and fuel consumption remain virtually constant over a long period of time, despite increasing contamination of the air filter. You do not need to clean the air filter until there is a noticeable drop in performance. This means that you can work for a long time without maintenance.

STIHL TS 420MANUAL DECOMPRESSION

EFFORTLESS START-UP. The decompression valve makes it easier to start your power tool. When starting, you can allow some of the compressed mixture to escape from the cylinder by opening the valve. This protects the start-up system and reduces the amount of force required on the starter cord.
